This statue in Partick railway station is the GI Bride, a character from the old Evening Times cartoon strip, Lobey Dosser, by Bud Neill.
Lobey was the Sheriff of Calton Creek, he was accompanied by his faithful steed El Fideldo, and his enemy was the evil Rank Badjin.
