Mummy's boy
Master Five Year Old is such a sweetheart.
He is almost completely himself again after the pneumonia and inflamed stomach lymphnodes. It's great to see him with so much more energy.
One thing I was worried about with me now being so poorly, was not being able to keep up with him. My doctor is trying desperately to keep me out of hospital now because I cannot have penicillin or cephalosporins, so I'm limited in what I can have to fight the cluster of infections in my body, and in the time it's taken for the antibiotics to kick in, I've become more unwell.
To try and keep me out of hospital, my doctor has put me on a second antibiotic, and it is the devil. It causes acid reflux and I cannot lay down for 90 minutes after having it. And it causes a sunlight sensitive rash. Joy.
So now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I need to take Master Five Year Old for a walk every day to keep his lungs healthy. But it's quite sunny and warm today... so for my own health, I can't actually do that.
With a bit of explaining, Benjamin understood, and very sweetly put his face to mine and said "it's okay, Mummy. I'll look after you because you look after me. That's what family is for".
I may have welled up a bit.
