Black Bottom Whistling Ducks

Since the storm (that's how we refer to Hurricane Katrina), these ducks with bright orange bills and feet have been wintering in New Orleans. I've only seen them here in Audubon Park and at the zoo which is behind the park at the Rivers edge. They are constantly "whistling", a remarkable sound! And they also perch on low branches with their webbed feet.
