Hellebore

'Tis the season of the hellebore. A quick dash in to the garden, two mucky knees and a mucky elbow later, and here we are. At last just one or two of these shy beauties are lifting their heads, ever so reluctantly, for a glimpse of the world from their shady nooks. I love hellebores and I do like this variety (lost its name I'm afraid) that decided, of all the colours a flower could choose to make itself visible, it opted for green. Yes I love hellebores. They don't give a damn.
