Twa Men

I pass this on my way to work each day. It is one of only a few large monuments in Port-au-Prince and I've always been really curious to know what it represents (but haven't been able to find it online).

I began asking my drivers about it, and in classic Haitian style, they never give any indication that they're not sure, instead you get an interesting (authoritatively delivered) explaination.

I've heard everything (for example: it represents the 3 main revolutionaries that led the slave revolt, it's a symbol of international support etc.).

A game/routine formed wherein I ask each new driver about it on the way to work.
