Can't put it down

Much recommended, "Room" is the book for this month's Book Group. Initally I found the boy's character and speech intensely irritating, but as the plot has developed I have become compelled to keep reading it. Really interesting angle on a theme that has sadly had examples in the news, and makes you think about seeing the world around us with fresh eyes. The boy is still very irritating , even if you cut a lot of slack for his circumstances!

Glasses are now essential, and I spend a lot of time looking for pairs that I have put down. I have attempted contact lenses but can't get them in my eyes!
