Details
Yet another pair of men in suits turned up in the eyrie today - there has been a sudden rush of them over the last week or so - measuring and photographing the interior for their clients with a view to buying the place. This pair were architects and, after they'd admired the view, we chatted a bit about what an interesting building it is. I thought I'd take the opportunity to find out what they think is the best way to record the interior of a building, and their answer was: ' details'. Whole rooms look soulless in a photo, but a sunlit corner of a window willtrigger all sorts of associations and memories.
So here's a detail from today - beautiful brass door knob with a shiny steel-framed step stool braced underneath to keep the door open.
