Pointing

In our village we probably have more than our fair share of listed buildings. I'm always fascinated by the skill displayed by the masons and builders. One such house has recently had new windows added (hardwood not PVC) and this shot shows some pointing work undertaken above one of the new windows. It has taken over 3 days to complete what you see here. I gather that the men doing this had to try some 26 mixes of pointing to get the colour and consistency right. And they are doing well to complete a meter length in a day. They have my utmost admiration.
