Ajanta & Ellora

This is from the Ajanta caves in Maharashtra, They must be some of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in the world. They are completely carved out of the cliff face and really are a sight to behold. The sound in this cave was amazing, the whole chamber resonates with the voice, it must have been incredible to hear the original monks chanting mantra here!
