Parklife

Today was the official second anniversary of Greenwich parkrun. It was rather eventful, with 129 runners (a record), cakes, prizes, 3 tri-athletics clubs represented, one poor young lady taken off in an ambulance after a fall (I hope you are ok), and the usual punters and shenanigans. Thank you Linda, today's race director, for holding it all together.

The parkrun only works because of the volunteers, and especially the event and race directors - they do a great job! Thanks folks.

And I must not forget Colin and Lauren, who set up our event - even if they have run-off on a one year trip round the world. See Lauren's blog, its a literary masterpiece (with pictures).

Definition of parkrun: "a run where people make friends"
