Powerless Structures, Fig 101

This is the latest sculpture to occupy the 4th plinth in Trafalgar Square. (The plinth was designed to host a bronze equestrian statue of William IV by Sir Charles Barry, which was never installed.)

The statue was unveiled by Joanna Lumley who said she was thrilled to be revealing a "completely unthreatening and adorable creature".

It is a 2-tonne bronze statue, sculpted by Scandinavian artists Elmgreen and Dragset. It will remain in Trafralgar square for about 18 months.
