Heyford Flying Field

After giving up my Saturday to work with residents living on the old airbase I was rewarded with permission to go onto the flying field for a bit of photography. It was a bit overwhelming really in terms of the amazing opportunity but I managed to get some that did it justice I think. Blippping goldmine!

Also with another friend who remembered the flying field being operational in the cold war. Some of the current residents I talked to today had worked on the base and so I had their stories in my head as I walked round picturing the American pilots who were based here and the planes constantly ticking over in the hangers ready for attack!
