Whale Bone Harbour

Arrived in Whitby at about 10.30am to begin my week long holiday. Had breakfast at Arnies then went to see if the cottage was ready to move in to. It wasn't so was forced to spend time in a nearby hostelry where I partook of a couple of draughts of real ale.

Got in the cottage around noon. It was super weather today so Whitby was very busy. I don't remember it ever being as mild as this on a March visit! Forecast for the week too...hope they've got it right!

This is the view from the balcony of the cottage...Whitby harbour mouth. I can also see across to the Captain Cook monument of West Cliff so it's a pretty expansive view!

A wonderful start to my holiday!
