Giraffe

The most amazing day - assisting with a giraffe caesarian. Sadly the calf had already passed away and was making mum quite sick. The difficult choice was made to perform a caesarian - difficult because there are only 2 successful reports in the literature.
Mum did amazingly well, stood up after the general anaesthetic and even starting eating.
Awe inspiring.

I sometimes wonder at the crazy life I lead.
