An Eventful Day!

Today was full of events....

1) Liam's class recorder performance (Blue Smoothie) at Town Hall,
2) Green Day at the Elementary School,
3) Award Assembly at the Junior High,
4) Celebrating Liam's BD with cupcakes at lunchtime with the class before Spring Break,
5) An earned movie/popcorn/green smoothies party for earning 200 behavior points in Liam's class,
6) A photo project which involved me taking and editing pics of each kid in Liam's class and...
7) Landon's class party for earning the most in Pennies for Patients.

I tried to include a pic from each event today. I really enjoyed the recorder performance of the 4th grade class performing a jazz song called 'Blue Smoothie' and thought they did a great job. I couldn't be at the Awards Ceremony for Loren and wasn't even aware that there was one today but so proud Loren earned High Honors!!! Way to go Loren! I also missed out on Landon's pizza party. =( This was just one of those days I would have liked to have a clone. But today was fun taking both smiley face pics and silly face pics of each of Liam's classmates for a bulletin board project as well as for a couple other things. Managed to run home for an hour and get them all uploaded/edited/burned onto disc and turned into teacher before Spring Break. Yay!

I sugared the kids up with cupcakes at lunch time and Liam insisted on serving his own cupcakes to his friends. :) As it worked out, two other parents whose kids have birthdays over spring break showed up with cupcakes! Oh my....the lucky teacher. By that point, though, the kids weren't hungry for much considered they had popcorn, green smoothies for Green Day (made from a mixture of juice, apples, cucumber, lime juice and green food coloring), Red Vines, etc. during their Puss N Boots movie party.

The day ended with an impromptu sleepover for Liam at Cody's house, taking Loren to his 6-9PM Referee Class and cuddle time with just Landon on the couch watching 'Despicable Me' and catching up on The Voice. What a full and blessed day.
=================================
Oh, and I had to include the sink full of Spidey rings. I had to remove them from each cupcake because, apparently, that would be embarrassing to a 4th grader. Who could EVER be too big for Spiderman? I will put these rings on my OWN birthday cupcakes when MY birthday rolls around. I thought I raised my boys to always have love for the Spidey. He was, after all, the best superhero ever. So today marked a bittersweet day in time where my Liam is outgrowing a certain part of his childhood. Yes, it's a little tough on this mom.
