Tattoo and Body Art Expo
Paid a visit to the tattoo expo today, and it was certainly worthwhile.
It was a bit like the Elvis festival, in that nobody objected to having their photo taken. I guess people with tats have a lot more of the exhibitionist in them than the rest of us.
Couldn't decide whether to show you the good, the bad or the ugly, but finally settled on the truly bizarre.
This is definitely not the best photo, but is probably the most interesting.
As soon as I saw this fellow I recognised him from a documentary I'd seen.
He has a full tattoo body suit, and plans to be tanned and leave his skin to the National Gallery.
The tattoos represent the flowers of Sydney, with a couple of teddy bears and a few icons thrown in, and have taken 15 years to complete.
You can read more, and see some good photos, here.
And it's probably worth checking out bigger.
