National Portrait Gallery

Finally got around to going to the National Portrait Gallery today. Although we still only managed the first floor (and the shop, of course). You aren't allowed to take photos in the exhibitions, just the entrance hall, which is where this photo was taken. It's a beautiful entrance hall.

Also managed to catch up with friends (including a chance encounter with an old school friend, which was pleasant), get the weekly shop, and finish sanding the coffee table (a very rough finish was obtained and deemed acceptable).

Got my man in the kitchen cooking up a risotto courtesy of my gift of the Silver Spoon recipe book and another gift of Valvona & Crolla vouchers. Smells pretty good so far!
