Gently down the stream

Bushfield Camp

Tried lots of shots today hoping for a long landscape, but pleasant sunshine doesn't sculpt hills it flattens them, so not entirely successful..
However, I did quite like this one. Bushfield Camp is a disused army base on its way back to wilderness (provided it's not made into a park and ride facility!!) There's lots of tarmac and weeds and a few plastic bottles and tongues of barbed wire, but mostly its moss and tough scrub and 2 of these skeleton buildings. I decided to blip this shot because of the colours, particularly of the moss on the concrete, the red on the struts and the purply-blue in the background - also because of the way the light is almost disintegrating the roof bars.
Saw 2 pairs of squiggles chasing each other through a line of beech trees and spitting, and bunbuns eating the grass. Fantastic. And..
finished the afternoon doing my first proper gardening of the year - boy, did that feel good!
