Half Marathon

It was the Inverness Half Marathon today and this is my race number. I completed it in 2 hours, 9 minutes and 7 seconds, ahead of Fred MacAulay (although I do have ten years advantage!).

I really enjoyed the run, which surprised me as I was slightly dreading it but was helped along by the crowds of onlookers and a nice chap called Steven who ran the last 2 miles with me.

Most importantly, I was able to raise £150 for the Archie Foundation which supports the Children's Wards in hospitals across North Scotland.

I'm now preparing for the Loch Ness Marathon in September. Hopefully, I'll do as well and feel as good afterwards.
