Well, it snowed. And then melted.
This has been an extraordinarily mild winter in the States (in contrast to all you poor Europeans). New polls have come out that show that more and more people in this scientifically illiterate country believe in global warming because of this mild winter. That's great, because it helps move the conversation forward, but it's also bad, because it's for the wrong reason. One mild winter means nothing; last winter was hell. Instead, the better evidence perhaps is the extreme variations in temperature (In 2011 it snowed on May 2nd, then transitioned into one of the hottest, most humid summers on record), but again, it's all one data point.
Still, I guess you take what you can get.
