Hiking Haystack Mountain

Did a 4 hour hike with my friend Judy Lake and her dog Ziggy. We went through the woods on Haystack. in some places nearly straight up. It was challenging at times with mud and ice and Judy helped me get across a stream with my camera safely.

We had a wonderful time chatting and walking and managing the terrain. But it was probably a little too much hike for this girl. When we got back to her car my low back started to really hurt. By the time I got home I could not stop shaking with cold (it had been very warm - in the 50s F) and then got quite ill. I took arnica and aconite which worked fairly quickly to stabilize my body temperature but my stomach was not having a good time of it so I ended up crashed out under a pile of cats and dogs.

This is a straight out of the camera shot of Ziggy. The vista shots I took at the summit were good but I chose this one because Ziggy was such entertainment and so unbelievably adorable. She laid between us on the ride back to my car and she had her head on Judy's lap. This little Aussie sprinted about like a bunny rabbit for the whole hike.
