Interesting Crufts fact of the day?

Or not.

This is the old fascia of Palmers Pet Shop on Parkway in Camden Town - it's not a pet shop anymore (though Palmers still trades as a pet shop opposite) and I'm sure it's a long long time since they had talking parrots and monkeys for sale.

Now I'm sure I once read somewhere that Mr Cruft himself worked there as a young man, but today I can't find it anywhere online or in my history books. He did work for a dog biscuit company so perhaps he delivered them there and I've got mixed up.

Any ideas? Or have I made this up?!
