Could Stobbart's learn from this?
Just on the Cambodia / Vietnam border this morning. A load behind was even greater but as it was in danger of couping, we got out the way.
Yet again, the duration of a bus journey was understated by he-who-sells-tickets. 4 hours became 9, in a hard seated, non-air conditioned bus which turned out to be a "local", stopping at every lamppost. As a result we met lots of locals, including Ally from Dundee.
Checked in to our hotel to find that once again Booking.com's descriptions are not 100% reliable. Should have been 20mtr.sq., with balcony but is 12mtr.sq., with a view of someone else's balcony, we think. (It's dark, and our window is only small. Booking.com advised appropriately.
Had a brief wander in Can Tho, just to find food. Seems like a commercial city, pop 1 million, most of whom were out for the same walk this evening.
Booked a 7 hour 2 man (person) boat trip on the Can Tho River for Wednesday. It's a tributary of the mighty Mekon. ( BTW, we crossed the Mekon several times today, but no sign of Dan Dare. )
Just about to curl up in our shoebox for the night.
Cheers,
G&S
