Another Green World

Part of the 200 sq. metre "Green Wall" on the side of Edgware Rd tube station. Unfortunately two vans parked in front of it prevented a better picture. How inconsiderate of them. Don't they realise people need to blip?
15 species of plant have been chosen for their ability to trap pollution & filter air, & their effectiveness on this site is being monitored by scientists from Imperial College over an 18 month period. If deemed successful more of these walls are planned elsewhere in London.
Even if the effect on pollution is not as great as hoped, I still think it looks great!
I might pop back later in the year to see how the plants' growth has changed how the wall looks. And hopefully those vans will have gone by then...
