A bit of an edge

We set off in a thick mist this morning - the sky above was blue so we had a good hunch it would burn off. We went up to Stanage Edge and climbed up to enjoy the view as the mist cleared. We could hear curlew and skylark, but the main visible birds were the red grouse, a kestrel and a wren.
It was only quite a short climb, but I managed it easily, and as the mist cleared and other walkers arrived, I felt quite smug to see many of them so out of breath.
