Oh Deer, Oh Deer!

This little family were taking their breakfasts when we disturbed them this morning. Catching up on our local news, we found that we will shortly lose some four hectares from the wood as the trees are harvested and the carnage from the winter storm is cleared away. Sadly this will mean that the deer will need to be culled quite a bit to reduce the depradation once the cleared areas are re-planted. Bit of a moral dilemma here as I love to see the little deer in the wood but - I also love venison!
