Time & Tide
We spent an "interesting" day out West today.
We worked out way to Maryport, then through Flimby, through Workington, had lunch in Harrington, bypassed Distington, and ended up in Whitehaven.
We had a wander around the harbour, watched some fishing boats go in and out, tried to avoid being attacked by the seagulls.
We then headed further down the coast to St. Bees.
I love St. Bees, just for the wide and amazing variety of rock found on the beach.
What I don't love about St. Bees are the irresponsible dog walkers who happily let their dogs poo and don't pick it up. I purposely stood and watched a woman who was letting her dog poop on the main bit of shore and said loudly, "I hope she's going to pick that up". She didn't, she covered over, for the next poor soul to discover.
Anyway, we walked along the shore and it wasn't long before the tide had gone out and the rocks gave way to lovely golden sand. With the odd rock left behind....
Then back up to Silloth and then home.
