Not a mutant sheep

No, this isn't an 8-legged sheep, but two sheep which had got themselves into a hopelessly woolly tangle.
This pair took it into their heads to wait until we were almost upon them before crossing the road, & were in such a rush that they only stopped themselves from plunging into the river by veering up the embankment Indian-fashion; but of course at the top was another road, with another car approaching ?. sheep two was still scrambling up the slope when the lead sheep turned tail, with the result that they cannoned into one another in spectacular fashion. Thankfully both did manage to right themselves, with no apparent injury to either (I made hubby reverse back to check on them).

Considering that this is a picture of animals in motion, snapped through the dusty windscreen of a moving car, I was amazed that they're as clear as they are.
