Family history

My Dad was born in a village in Leicestershire called Cosby. He's recently been going to the Cosby local history group meetings, and someone there has given him this photo with his grandfather (William Burbage) in it. The photo is a group shot of about 80 men who were members of the Cosby adult school. It was taken in 1904. Each member of the school is marked on the photo with a number, and there is an accompanying sheet of paper listing the numbers and the names, written out in beautiful, careful handwriting.
