Duck Parade

The ducks are following me.....

So I wondered why the Peabody hotel across the way had a big duck emblem - well today I found out - it is a long tradition of the Peabody that every day at 11 am and every evening at 5 pm to a fanfare salute and a master of ceremonies, aptly named Donald, the ducks come out of their palace (yes according to Donald that's what it is called), get into the elevator on the second floor take it down to the lobby and walk the red carpet into their duck pond in the famous fountain in the centre of the hotel. This has to be seen to be believed, only in America!

Tomorrow I'll be there at 5 pm to catch them leaving.....
