Surprise!!!

We sure got a surprise last night!! SNOW!! After a windy, rainy stormy day I was looking forward to things settling down a bit. Nope. Not happening. About 10pm it started to snow.. Hard. And, didn't let up. We ended up getting about 5 inches. More from last night here and drooping black bamboo here.Lost power at 2am and it got cold fast! I am fearful that my blooming flowers made not have made it through the surprise. :( Especially my poor daffodils. Time will tell. Still some snow on the ground but it had started melting by early this morning. We have many big pine trees behind us. I heard lots and lots of branches breaking. Luckily, none in our yard. However, the neighbors tree looks like it took the brunt of the damage. bummer. This American Robin, I took at sunrise this morning, looks happy the snow is melting and so was I!!! Power back on about 2 this afternoon.
(Found out they haven't had this kind of snow here since 1969!!!)
