Maximo Park @ Corn Exchange aka the Hot House.

Comfortably parked myself bottom left with decent view and just on the verge of mentalness. First time seeing support Young Knives who I thought were great and I was reliably informed by them in the know that they have 'been around for ages'. And so confirms I'm not quite at the cutting edge of the music scene as I suspected...

By the time Maximo hit the stage, the temp is up to boiling point and the sweat trickling down my leg tells me for the umpteenth time that jeans are not the appropriate attire for a hot house gig. Gasping for a pint but cant as driving after. Merde.

Despite 'technical difficulties' Maximo were brilliant and totally lived up to the recommendations and expectations I had been given by other folk 'in the know'.

Hit and hope with this shot but have to confess it's more to prove that I was there. A shameless bid for any kind of street cred really..

Note to self: some sort of suitable 'air wear' needed for their next gig
