where was I @ 2012 hours?

trying not to jump up and down on my Ipod! I have spent several hours today trying to get it to sync with my computer (which it has been doing quite happily until about 2 weeks ago). I have uninstalled and re-installed security programmes and itunes until I am goggle-eyed by it all. By 2012 hours, I had truly given up!! Any (sensible!) suggestions welcome.
