Ouch, splinter time

The first thing I did this morning, having heard the news shortly after 6am, was to check the Belgian news on the web to see where the children involved in the tragic accident came from. My friend's daughter was thankfully not involved in a nightmare beyond belief.

This evening I dived into another tale of goblins and fairies, somehting which I started at the turn of the year with child #2 as she was needing some encouragement in reading, not that her reading was bad, it simply could have been better. In years to come, I shall be thankful for this but goodness me, what inane tosh.
