Fundraising day number 2.
We had a meeting with a lady from Naomi's House, a Winchester based children's hospice that provide care and support for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. A worthy cause indeed.
Then we headed out to the high street, armed with buckets and stickers and balloons... and Emily wearing a cat head. Definitely made for a talking point (not always a good thing, we were slightly terrified by the man who kept coming back to say he "wouldn't mind having kittens with her").
Last night was the first event, a clothes auction/sale. A sizeable chunk of the money we raised for charity would have to go to paying for security, unless the bar made over £250. I was only too happy to help out in that department. I think even my hangover knew it was for charity, it wasn't half as bad as I expected.
