They came from beyond space...
... the Tories; with a mission to destroy humanity.
Anyway, this UFO-alike bugger gave out last night and being a sensible driver I had to change it this evening. A short trip from Hereford office to Halfords, a purchase of the incorrect bulb (against my better judgement - amend your lists Halfords!), a deposit of my keys to borrow a shitty Torx screwdriver (no £6.99 fitting fee for me!), the replacement of the correct bulb (I had one in the glove compartment - trust your judgement Ollie!), the refund from Halfords and finally the drive away feeling smug and £17 not spent.
One of those days at work that makes one zing today. Some big issues, some really excellent people offering co-operation and good ideas and some welcome conversations with the regulators. I'm proud and fortunate to work with them all.
Tonight I placed the orders for the raw materials to make the flies for Slovenia. I'm trying desperately to keep a lid on the excitement and just about succeeding.
Back to the blip! When I used to read Arthur C Clarke's World of Strange Powers in the library at school, this is what some of the UFOs looked like in both the (grainy and blurred) pictures. If you ever watch a programme on how these things are made (bulbs, not UFOs - only NASA knows that via reverse engineering) you'll be mesmerised.
Anyway. Hope you are having a splendid week blipulation. x
