Surprise Snow

We woke up to thumps on the roof and after checking outside saw that it had started snowing very heavily. Wanted to call the kids and tell them to look outside about the time Annie called concerned about all the noise with snapping branches, etc. Had a restless night, then got up to beautiful white!! Unfortunately it only lasted for the day, then started melting. Annie and Paul came over to play in the snow, but I stayed in and put on the kettle for tea and cookies. It was an exciting day.
