It's no joke!
This is a caricature my daughter Leo and her boyfriend Scott had done while working on the Queen Mary several years ago.I am fascinated by these drawings and often wonder how they can be so different, yet still bare such a strong resemblance to the person, so clever! It is something I would love to try my hand at.
This artist has exaggerated the essence of these two to perfection. It is indeed a rough truth but in the best possible sense.
Leo always says her nose is her worst feature. As a family, we all have noses which are ever so slightly on the bulbous side! She has always been known for her HUGE eyes. They are her best feature. When on stage, people say they can't take their eyes off her, because her face lights up and she is soooo expressive.!I have always said this is all down to those beautiful big blue eyes! However,I think she must have been puckering up to Scott when this was drawn, as I wouldn't say her lips are usually quite so luscious!
As for Scott,he always passes remarks about his nose and likens himself to a fish which has a very elongated face (his nickname is Scottfish.) His teeth are noticable and beautifully white, another feature which is needed when you have to constantly smile on stage------ and boy can he smile! If you want to see them 'as they are' refer back to my Blip of 7th Feb.
However, they are no 'joke' I assure you.Thye are two wonderful young people who are working hard and pulling together to try and make a life for themselves and whom we greatly admire.Thinking of you both.We miss you so much.xx
