At Last!

We've been waiting since last November for the yellow road lining to be done.
After sending out surveys and a yes or no leaflet to those who faced the two roads that had the problem, since the Council put charges on most of their car parks.
I must add rather extortionate charges for those who work in Liverpool and get a bus or train nearby, and need to park at least 6-8 hours.
Three people actually objected to the lines outside their houses (they all have drives) so everything was held up until a compromise was found.
It should have been double yellows and no parking except around the church in designated area which 'they' were happy with.
Now I understand it is no parking between 11am and 1pm!!!!! very strange indeed.
This morning there was a lot of frustrated drivers arriving to park and finding cones the length of the two roads to be lined.
I can understand the frustration being a driver myself; but getting in and out of my little estate was a case of 'put your foot down' and hope for the best, because being on slope its hard to see what was coming from the off side of the side road.
At present the road looks like it does on at weekend when nobody parks at all.
So 'we' wait and see what happens now....
