Dance artist Laura Smith

They reckon you should never stop learning, whatever your age.

So today I signed up for the Over 60's Dance class at the Macrobert Arts Centre in Stirling.

No experience necessary, said the brochure, which is just as well, because I can't remember the last time I danced.


But resident Dance Artist Laura Smith, could not have been more helpful and encouraging.

Fears that we would be thrown into some wild zumba dancing disappeared.


Laura thinks the sudden popularity of dancing for all ages is due to the TV show Strictly Come Dancing.

Whatever the reason people are inspired to get off the couch and start moving.


PS. If you look closely you will see I am the one at the back of the class with a camera. Enough said.
