Painful and persistent cheers pay off

Pep rally and the season opening football game against our biggest rival whom we have never been able to defeat, what a friday. For three quarters we were pitiful at best, 13-0. With four minutes left, 13-14. We finally hold a chance to win but the opposition marches forward, there is little to be done. Then with 42 seconds left, as if some sort of miracle, the enemy opposition misses their field goal. It can't be, but we actually won.

The two high schools are probably less than a mile a part, one private and ours public.We showed up in masses, stayed strong, and things just worked out.
