Ropes on the Breakers

Had a drive down to Sandsend today. The sun was shining so I took myself on to the beach to get some pictures of the breakers.

All along this beach there are lots of posts sticking up out of the sands and they look quite unusual. I spotted this one with the rope caught around it and liked how the colour stood out against the texture of the wood.

Came back to Whitby and had a drink of the balcony of The Shambles then sat on the cottage balcony watching the boats coming and going.

My niece showed up this evening to spend the next few days here, so it really has turned in to a family holiday this year!
