living the healthy life
So if you haven't already heard, we're doing a 21 day detox as per Dr Alejandro Junger's "Clean" and this is our evening meal: a juice made of apple, pear, pineapple, rhubarb, celery, lettuce ginger and parsley.
The detox itself consists of a probiotic, tepid lemon juice and a fruit smoothie in the morning, lunch of sautéed or steamed veg with only certain meats, and a juice of veg+fruit in the evening. To top it off, 2 tablespoons of cold pressed olive oil and another tepid lemon before bed. Not so hard you might say? Well, no but here's what we can't have:
oranges, grapefruit, bananas, grapes, all dairy, wheat, corn, barley, oats, raw fish, pork, beef, veal, sausage, cold cuts, shellfish, soybean products, peanuts, pistachios, macadamia, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, aubergine, alcohol, coffee, tea, sugar, honey, and my favourite chocolate!
We're on day 18 and approx 5kgs lighter, full of energy and radiant skin. Long live the juice!
