Spirograph?

This evening Annie was out at school governor training and Chris was left unsupervised in the house. So, he hung a torch from the smoke alarm, set the camera pointing up at it and magic happened.

Did anyone have a Spirograph as a child and not mess up the intricate drawing you spent hours on right at the end?
