March Madness
We've had almost nonstop high winds today, from every possible direction! Maybe it's Mother Nature doing her spring cleaning -- she certainly got her broom into every corner.
There was a brief period of sunshine (and wind), and that's when I took today's photo. (I took many others before that, but dull skies and wind are not very photogenic.) I like the almost watercolor effect of the clouds, and the band of sunshine on the trees.
What you're seeing is a zoomed-in version of the view from the office that Phil and I share. (Here's what really what we really see, which is interesting in its own right, particularly when our neighbors are out in their back yards or on their decks,)
While Phil was out today, I put a chair up against his desk, which has the view, and stood on the chair to take photos every time the sun peeked through. I won't say how many rejects there were; I'm just glad to have ended up with one I liked!
Speaking of photos I liked, I hope you will join me in welcoming a new Blipper, my friend CelloNerd, who has started off with an excellent backblip on her Wine, Women & Song journal! We sang together in a local women's choir for several years -- she's continued with that, as well as a string quartet and other musical activities, while I've become hooked on genealogy (don't ask how many hours I spent on that today... thank you, musings!), Blipfoto, and the Bellingham Farmers Market. Cello Nerd will give you another view of this very beautiful part of the world.
And here's another one -- Phil's blip for March 13, for those of you interested in our wonderful local food!
