Little Egret

I saw this new visitor to the local stream as I drove past, by the time I'd turned back, found somewhere ro park and walked to the stream he had moved rather a long way off.

Anyway, my first photo of a Little Egret in Hertfordshire.

Once a rare visitor to the south coast of the UK, these hansome birds are now resident and moving north.
