Meeting of the Aire and the Worth

Not ventured very far today except for a little shopping to get our 'Mother's Day Meal Deal'!

En-route we took a slight detour and I stopped to take this view as the sun was shining on some of the settlements in the valley.

In the foreground, just catching the light, is the village of East Morton. Further down is the Aire Valley (we walked on the opposite side of this yesterday) and the town of Keighley. Straight on from here in the far distance is the Worth Valley and the villages of Haworth and Oxenhope.

The valley in the foreground was flooded quite severely after storms about 10 years ago, when storm water from the hills over whelmed these two rivers causing them to break their banks.
