So take the photographs and still frames
For the three of them in the back row, this was their very last ever school game. Last year of secondary, and University next year. The count down has begun.
For some it's more of a struggle than others. Thank god Tooli is looking forward to the next chapter, and is being kept busy at school so that she doesn't constantly think on leaving the past behind. Tho' she does sigh and tell me how many school days left of school on a daily basis now.
I got a medal tonight, for Continued Parental support of the VB Team! I was delighted, (not mentioning that I had already tried to purloin one before I was presented with one).
And Gran, what can we say about Gran today. She is a bloody star. A complete and utter trooper, and without her the Cruse household would be in a bloody chaos.
"Mum, here's money can you put it in Boy's bank",
"Mum, If you are in the town, could you pick up my prescription"
"Mum, where is gran, I've left my knee pads at home".
Gran left work sharp, flew into the town, grabbed my prescription, dropped it off at my house, ventured into the toxic zone (Tooli's Room), found the missing knee pad, and drove up to the school to drop it off.
I say "Thank you thank you thank you" and she says, "don't be silly, it's what Mums/Grans are for".
Yes, we are, but you'd think when I'm the age I am, I wouldn't be so reliant on mine!
So very, very publicly mum, Thank you So, So much for everything that you do for us. I don't say thank you enough, but I do appreciate everything you do, and fear not, you will have a lovely big bowl to celebrate Mother's day!
