Photo 62#366photos: Florets
16 March 2012
Bear with me, this rather uninteresting photo is actually the start of something beautiful. I saw a tweet about the science of cherry blossoms which took me to a lovely video on The Washington Post.
At the moment, the buds have just turned green, and the florets are just visible. I'll try and post another photo as the blossom develops, especially the 'puffy white stage'.
Blossoms always make me think of Chinese New Year, the start of Spring, and the invitation of love (the Chinese see blossoms as a symbol of love so single girls dance around the trees to invite love in their lives).
