Friday: Smokin'

So, it's Friday night, and we decided to head out for a few drinks and a bite to eat.  The odd thing here is that you can still smoke in cafes/bars, providing they don''t serve food.  It is really odd to come out of a bar smelling of smoke.   Apparently, a few years ago, the Croatians tried to ban smoking in bars etc but so many places went out of business they had to revoke the law.

There is a street here which is called the street of 1,001 bars.  Generally it is OK, but we have decided that, on a Friday night, we might be a tad old for it.......certainly judging by the people that were out and about tonight.

And tonight is the first time we felt a lovely warm undercurrent in the breeze.
